When is the best time to visit Yellowknife to see Aurora?
All you need to see Aurora is a dark, clear sky! You can typically see the Northern Lights from mid-August to early November and mid December to early April. It is best to avoid the full moon.
Should I book an Aurora tour?
You can see the Aurora from all of our rentals. However, aurora tours are a fun way to explore more of Yellowknife and will often bring you to a spot with less light pollution. We can also give you some tips on where to watch the aurora on your own by car!
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a full refund if you cancel more than 5 days before your reservation. You can also book a non-refundable option for 10% off!
Should I rent a car?
That is up to you and what activities you plan! If you are planning to spend most of your time in town, you can easily access Yellowknife's sights by foot or transit, even in winter. If you plan to do things outside of town, a rental car is recommended.
